  9. Handy Spell - The handy little spell checker.

  15. INSTALL:            
  16. To install Handy Spell run the Setup.exe file. The Setup program will guide you through the setup procedure.

The install procedure will install a fully working copy of Handy Spell, but Handy Spell will show a delay window on startup whilst unregistered. That delay will gradually become longer with every next startup of Handy Spell. If you register (ie: buy a license for) Handy Spell, this delay window will no longer be activated and Handy Spell will startup immediately.

  20. The install procedure will also install HandyLink.exe, an associated executable file for Handy Spell. Please read the 'Readme - About HandyLink.exe.txt' file for more information about HandyLink.exe

  22. IMPORTANT, READ BEFORE INSTALLING!
  23. If you have a prior installation of Handy Spell on this computer:

  25. 1) Please make sure that Handy Spell is NOT running and make sure that Handy Link (HandyLink.exe -
  26. Handy Spell's tray icon link) is also NOT running.
  27. If the Handy Spell icon is showing in the operating system's icon tray, then Handy Link is running.
  28. Please make sure to close the link (right-click on the icon and choose 'Close Link') before uninstalling the prior installation of Handy Spell or installing this version of Handy Spell.

  30. 2) After you make sure of the above, please uninstall that prior installation of Handy Spell before continuing
  31. with this installation of Handy Spell.
  32. If you elect not to do this, this version of Handy Spell will still install, but some files may not be updated correctly and some unneeded 'uninstall' links may be left registered on your operating system.

  34. UNINSTALL PROCEDURE:
  35. Use the operating system's 'Add/Remove Programs'  facility.

  37. NOTE:
  38. Do NOT remove the directory Handy Spell was installed in if the uninstall procedure did not remove it because you will lose all words you added to the user dictionaries and you may lose any extra main dictionaries you have installed.
